The a.s. bolus applicator was specially developed for the administration of (Topro) Bica boluses. The bolus applicator is made from plastic, is easy-to-use and can even be used single-handedly.

Instructions for use of bolus applicator

The a.s. bolus applicator was specially developed for Topro mineral boluses.

• Place a bolus in the applicator.
• Restrain the animal firmly with the head stretched forward and the neck straight.
• Insert the bolus applicator in the front of the mouth and press it firmly but carefully over the tongue.
• Raise the head with the neck stretched and the animal will swallow the end of the bolus applicator, which becomes apparent when the bolus applicator easily slides into the throat.
• The bolus can then be administered by pulling the trigger.
• Retract the bolus applicator carefully.
• Never use force when administering the bolus.
• Keep an eye on the animal to be certain that the bolus has been swallowed.
