Topro Phosphorus bolus to support the mineral balance

A disturbed mineral balance often occurs around calving. A calcium deficiency (milk fever) is the best known of these. An additional phenomenon can be a shortage of phosphorus. This deficiency can lead to Downer syndrome. This condition manifests itself, among other things, in that the animal can no longer stand upright. Unlike milk fever, the temperature, heart rate and breathing are normal. The Topro Phosphorus bolus has been developed to support the phosphorus and calcium balance.

Dosage topro bolus

• 2 boluses at the first signs of calving
• 2 boluses immediately after calving

Dosage after a calcium infusion

• 2 boluses as soon as the cow gets up again
• 2 boluses 10 – 12 hours later

Instructions for administration

• Administer with a suitable bolus shooter
• Before use, it is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian or feed expert regarding:
  1. the balance of the trace elements in the daily ration
  2. the status of the herd with regard to trace elements
• To increase the density, the bolus contains 16% inert iron, if applicable
• Where applicable, additives for which maximum levels have been established should be avoided at the same time as those of a bolus.
